Summer Camp.

I recently went to a summer camp in
Lake Wales and was a counselor fo
r nine second, third, and fourth graders. I was with them from Sunday at 10:00 to Wednesday at 10:00. We got up each morning at 7:00 and went to bed around 12.30 every night. The day was constantly going and included activities such as
archery, paddleboating, and campfire.

The
camp has it's own community of
workers, some of which stay the entire summer, some for two weeks, and others work year round. Everyone has their own job to do and most of it is behind the scenes work. Without the two-week and summer-long workers we wouldn't have had three meals a day or
lifeguards to help protect thie kids. Without the counselors, the other workers would have to look after the kids while they cook meals.
Service for others can be rewarding becuase you know that you are helping

someone else out. I plan on being a conselor next year as well because even though I barely got any sleep, it was worth it just to see the children's faces when their parents came to pick them up and they were excited to tell stories about their week at camp.
